PARK CITY, Kan. – Lyon College men’s wrestling’s Carlos Cuevas competed in the NAIA National Championships on Friday. The NAIA National Championships is a double elimination format with the top eight wrestlers in each weight class earning NAIA All-American honors.
In his first match of the day, Carlos Cuevas faced off with Cooper McCullough from Corban University. Cuevas battled, but ultimately McCullough came out with the victory as he won by a score of 18-5. Cuevas, then, took on Joey Hancock of Baker College. Cuevas competed valiantly, but in the end, it was Hancock who won by a score of 10-2.
