Batesville, AR – The Lyon College men’s wrestling team has been voted to finished 7th in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 2025 pre-season poll.
Scots received 17 points through voting to be ranked seventh in the SLIAC poll. Blackburn College with 13 points was ranked to finish eighth in conference.
Ozarks was the favorite, finishing first while receiving 49 points and seven first place votes. Eureka with 42 points was ranked second, while Huntingdon placed third with 37 points and one first place vote.
Schreiner received 28 points to finish fourth, with McMurry voted fifth having 21 points. Westminster finished sixth receiving 16 points in the voting.
Scots will return some key players including SLIAC players to watch Clay Queen and Eli Lupton as well as Ty Ferguson. Lupton and Queen were named to the SLIAC All-Conference Second Team this past season.
The 2025-26 season begins Friday, November 7th at the Loosbrook Duals hosted by Benedictine College.
