Walnut Ridge, AR – Scots take the mat against Williams Baptist in a Dual. A total of seven wrestler competed for Lyon with a few Scots picking up crucial wins. Despite some setbacks, Scots would fall to the Eagles 33-17.
Today’s event started with a double forfeit at 125 lbs. Lyon got their first win at 133 lbs, with Ty Ferguson winning by Fall in just 35 seconds. Williams Baptist then went on a significant winning streak, starting with a forfeit win at 141 lbs. Williams Baptist secured a major decision (15-4) over Clay Queen at 149 lbs. Another two forfeits went to Williams Baptist at 157 lbs and 174 lbs. Williams Baptist won by Fall at 165 lbs in 47 seconds. Finally, Williams Baptist dominated at 184 lbs with a Tech Fall (20-3).
Lyon fought back in the heavier classes. Elijah Lupton earned a Tech Fall (17-2) over a Williams Baptist wrestler at 197 lbs. Mason Goodwin closed out the list with a win by Fall at 285 lbs in 1 minute and 26 seconds.
