ST. LOUIS, Missouri — The SLIAC preseason wrestling ranking for the 2024-25 season have the Lyon College Scots women’s wrestling team ranked third and the Scots men’s wrestling team picked fifth in the polls.
The Lyon College women’s wrestling team finished third in the SLIAC last season, and are picked to finish third once again in 2024-25.
Returners for the women’s team include sophomores Rubi Gonzalez, Sidney Milligan, and Madisen Nash, along with seniors Priscilla Luevano, Taja Showers, and Mikayla Wallace.
Newcomers to the women’s team include Lily Haywood, a freshman from Poteau, Oklahoma; Along with D’Mysha James, a freshman from Sherwood, Arkansas.
Head coach Emma de Brum, former wrestler for the Scots, will be entering her first full season in the role. She took over as the interm head coach this past January, during last season.
The Lyon College men’s wrestling team finished last in the SLIAC last season, and are picked to finish fifth in 2024-25.
The entire roster for the men’s team will be returners, as Ty Ferguson, Jacob Kehrer, Eli Lupton, Liam Selhorst, Shmuel Tabak, and Clay Queen Jr. will be competing for the Scots again this season.
The Lyon College men’s team is coached by Chris Wilmington, who is entering his first season as the head coach for the Scots, bringing in decades of coaching experience to the program.
