ST. CHARLES, Missouri – Four Scots competed in the Lindenwood Open today. They were just one team of 30 to compete in the open.
Ty Ferguson wrestled in a total of six matches for Scots, two in which he pinned his opponent. Coming off of a 1-2 performance in the last tournament, Ferguson was able to find some success this week finishing the tournament with a 4-2 record. He won a hard fought bout against Bobby Estrada of Cumberland University (Tenn.) where he was able to hold off the sophomore for a close 14-12 win. Another Scot that wrestled at the Lindenwood Open was Robert Lee who would also record a pin during the tournament. Lee eventually would end the day going 2-2 in the tournament.
The Men’s wrestling team will compete next in a dual against Williams Baptist University in Batesville, AR. The Dual will take place in Becknell gymnasium starting at 7pm.
