WRESTLING RANKED NATIONALLY TO START 2024-25

MANHEIM, Pennsylvania – The National Wrestling Coaches Association has ranked Ouachita Baptist University as the No. 25 team in the nation to start the 2024 season.

Junior Jimmy Anderson has also been included in the preseason rankings as the No. 5 wrestler in the 133 class. Anderson represented the Tigers last year at the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships in Park City, Kansas and finished his sophomore season at 23-8 overall.

Ouachita returns 20 wrestlers from last year, including Anderson and returning All-MIAA wrestler Jaylon Otero.

The Tigers open the 2024-25 season this Sunday, November 3 in Little Rock with a pair of MIAA matchups inside the Jack Stephens Center on the campus of the University of Arkansas-Little Rock. The opener is against sixth-ranked Nebraska-Kearney starting at noon followed by Central Missouri at approximately 1:30 p.m.
