KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association has selected Ouachita’s Donald Paul as the league’s wrestler of the week.
Paul was one of three Tigers to go unbeaten this past Friday in Ouachita’s wins over Drury and Newman in Springfield, Missouri in the team’s final action of the regular season.
The senior heavyweight from Lafayette, Louisiana went 2-0 in the dual victories, both wins coming by fall. He took down Drury’s Jaxon Glenn in 2:25 and then pinned Newman’s De’Leon Freeman in 3:38.
The wins improve Paul to 17-11 overall this season and 8-6 against D2 opponents.
Paul and the Tigers are back in action on March 2 in Indianapolis at the NCAA D2 Super Region 4 Tournament.
