MANHEIM, Pennsylvania – Ouachita Baptist University’s Brooks Schrimsher has been named to the 2022-23 National Wrestling Coaches Association Division II Scholar All-America Team.
Schrimsher earned the honor after a standout sophomore season at the 197 division with a record of 22-8. According to WrestleStat, he enters next season ranked No. 18 in the nation.
In the classroom, Schrimsher also thrives with high marks in his pursuit of a degree in finance. In order for a student-athlete to be selected to the NWCA Scholar All-American Team, he must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average.
The Huntsville, Alabama native is one of 318 wrestlers from 57 different NCAA Division II institutions to earn the academic honor.
