TIGERS FINISH KANSAS TRIP AT BOB SMITH OPEN

Hays, Kan. – The Ouachita wrestling team capped its Kansas road trip Sunday in the Bob Smith Open, hosted by Fort Hays State. 

Eight Ouachita grapplers won multiple matches in the tournament, led by a pair of junior starters. 125-pounder Justin Shaw won three consecutive bouts in the consolation rounds and finished 3-2. 149-pounder Caleb Andrews won his first two bouts before having to retire from the tournament. 

184-pound junior Luke Brunson won three straight bouts in the consolation bracket and finished 3-2. Freshman 285-pounder Parker Glaze emerged victorious in his opening bout, then earned two more wins in the consolation rounds to finish 3-2. 

Ouachita will travel to Indianapolis to compete in the 46th Annual Midwest Classic next Saturday.
