OKLAHOMA CITY – Lyon College women’s wrestler, Ashley Whetzal, earned another academic honor as she was named a Sooner Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete. Whetzal was one of 20 women’s wrestlers to earn the honor in the SAC.
The conference recognizes student-athletes as SAC scholar-athletes who are juniors or above in academic standing with at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, appear on the eligibility certificate for an NAIA-recognized sport and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer.
