NAPERVILLE, Illinois — Lyon College women’s wrestling heads north to compete at the 2024 North Central College Women’s Open.
The Scots will be one of 30 collegiate teams competing at the event, along with three SLIAC conference foes (Eureka College, Fontbonne University, Schreiner University).
Coach Emma de Brum will have four of her wrestlers travel to and compete at the event. After only having one wrestler (Rubi Gonzalez) compete at their opening meet at Carl Albert State College back in early November due to injuries, Coach de Brum is looking forward to seeing her girls compete. Gonzalez will compete in the 117 class, Mikayla Wallace in the 145 class, Sidney Milligan in the 160 class, and D’Mysha James will make her collegiate debut competing in the 207 class.
The meet will begin on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM inside Gregory Arena in Naperville.
