Rock Island, IL – Two Lyon College Scots women’s wrestlers competed in the QC Division III National Invitational. A total of 31 teams from around the country took to the mats.
Competing in the 103 pound weight class, Kaylei Parish faced opponents from Alma College and Otterbien University falling in both matches.
Competing in the 160 pound weight class, Catherine Paz Garcia faced opponents from Dubuque University, Otterbien University, and North Central College. Her time at the tournament began in consolation round 2, where she was beaten via fall. In consolation round 2 she defeated her opponent via technical fall in 3 minutes and 40 seconds, the Scots only win of the day. In the championship round Garcia would fall via pin.
Kaylei Parish’s place is unknown and they scored no team points.
