PARK CITY, Kansas – Ouachita’s Jimmy Anderson went 1-2 on Friday at the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships at Hartman Arena.
Anderson, a sophomore from Pittsburg, Ohio, opened up the day falling to top-seeded Gabe Hixenbaugh from Montevallo by tech fall 20-5. He wrestled back later in the day to pin Sioux Falls’ Beau Klingensmith in 3:40 after falling behind 9-5 in the first period. It was his eighth pin of the year.
Continuing his journey through the 133 bracket, Anderson was then matched up against seventh-seeded Elijah Lusk from Lander, where he fell in a close bout by a 7-3 decision.
Anderson finishes the 2023-24 season with a record of 23-8.
