EVANSTON, Illinois – #20 Little Rock takes a trip to the Windy City for the first division 1 dual of the year against Northwestern. The Trojans will face a strong Wildcat lineup with 5 of the probables ranked in the most recent InterMat weekly rankings.

The probable match ups are as follows:

The dual will feature 2 ranked matches at 157 (#23 Bianchi vs #11 Chumbley) and 197 (#5 Little vs #24 Bates). Stephen Little is fresh off a victory over Illinois’ Braunagel at the NWCA All Star Classic just last week. Prior to that, Little won first place at the Tiger Style Invitational at the 197 weight class.

Brendon Abdon looks for his second straight upset as he is poised to take on #16 Mayfield. Last time out, Abdon won via tech fall (17-1) over then #17 Stoney Buell of Purdue for a third place finish at the Tiger Style Invitational. Abdon is currently 5-1 with 2 pins and 2 tech fall victories.

The highly touted #3 Nasir Bailey looks to get back on track after falling 1-0 to then #6 Lucas Byrd of Illinois at the NWCA All Star Classic. Bailey has only conceded 3 points all season. This dual will mean a bit more for Bailey as he will be wrestling in his hometown for the first time in his collegiate career. The Park Forest native will get a chance to compete in front of his friends and family adding a lair of pride for him.

Apollo Gothard will make his first division 1 dual start since arriving in Little Rock. The red-shirt sophomore is 1-0 this season after a 4-1 decision in the opening dual against Central Missouri.

The first match is set for a 2 p.m. start and will be streamed on B1G+.
